We are proud to recognize the John Paul students for their amazing academic accomplishments!

On Monday, September 11, Bishop Michael Burbidge visited Saint John Paul the Great Catholic High School. Bishop Burbidge celebrated Mass with the school community. He then met with several groups, including the students who traveled to World Youth Day in Portugal, students who traveled to Arizona on this summer's mission trip, the Student Leadership Association, and students in Bioethics classes.

John Paul's music department students entertained the Holy Family Fall Fun Festival attendees.

Our World Youth Day pilgrims experienced an amazing adventure in Portugal.

A group of JP students recently returned from our summer Mission trip to the St. Ann Mission in Klagetoh, Navajo Nation, AZ, led by our Chaplain, Fr. Tipton! Twelve JP Student Missionaries ran a Bible Camp for over forty Navajo youth ages four to twenty-one. They also participated in opening Masses for Navajo communities, ran Teen and Parent nights, attended/participated in traditional Navajo Powwows, and saw the grandeur of two canyons (Canyon de Celly and Grand Canyon). Thank you to all who prayed for this mission trip!

The John Paul Track and Field team participated in the Virginia Catholic State Championship last Saturday with the Boys team finishing as Runner-Ups and the Girls team finishing Third overall. Only 3 points separated the top two boys' teams with the title coming down to the day's final event.

Since opening its doors 15 years ago, Saint John Paul the Great has been proactive in welcoming children with Down syndrome and other disabilities. Through its Options Program, it offers a highly individualized education for students who need modifications to access the general curriculum.
