Mrs. Patricia Halgas
In Her Own Words: When I was in high school, our motto was, “Educate the whole person.” I cannot think of a more worthwhile philosophy to follow as an educator of students on the brink of adulthood. They are still trying to figure out who they are, what their place is in the world, and what path they want to follow.
As a mathematics teacher, I want to do more than educate just the left side of the brain. Keeping God at the center of our lives is key to educating the whole person, not only navigating through a robust curriculum, but forming strong Christian character, and preparing them for what lies ahead.
I am grateful and humbled to have the opportunity to teach in an environment where God is the foundation of education, and He is a part of every aspect of a student’s academic, emotional and spiritual growth and development.
My favorite St. John Paul the Great quote: Every child is a unique and unrepeatable gift of God.
